Enemies and Allies

Your Highness, thank you. Moonie is safe. And...the curse has been lifted from him, too. I'm not sure how or why, or what they did to him, but at least he's awake. I'm going to need to look into this...

By the way... Did one of the Black Mage's commanders really show up? Then...has he really revived? With your leave, I'll have the knights tighten town security from now on. We have to be prepared for everything.

I'm sure Athena Pierce will be worried about this, too.Since she's more knowledgeable about current events in Maple World than I am, maybe you should let her know what happened.

Your Highness! The Cygnus Knights told me about the missing child! Is he safe?

(Tell her about the events at Edelstein and your encounter with the Black Mage's commander, Orchid.)

Forgive me, My Liege. I should have gone with you... Are you all right? That woman is too dangerous to face alone!

She was weaker than she used to be. She couldn't even transform, but what she said really bothers me. Could the Black Mage be returning so soon? I'm...

Your Highness...?

I've faced him before, Athena Piercek. I know just how powerful the Black Mage is. We were lucky to defeat him the first time, and even luckier to escape with our lives...such as they are.

Your Highness...

There's no guarantee that I can beat him again, Athena. In fact, in hundreds of years, I've only gotten weaker, while he's reached out into the world from beyond his seal. I...I FEAR him.

...Your Highness. Perhaps...perhaps that is wise? You know him better than anybody else in Maple World. But...

You aren't alone. We weren't prepared for the Black Mage last time. But this time, all of us--all of Maple World--are united. Things will be different this time.

Empress Cygnus, the elders of Victoria Island, the Resistance in Edelstein, the returned heroes, and I are all doing the best we can to stop the Black Mage. Remember, you have us. You'll always have us.

Every last one of us will follow you to the very end, Your Highness. Someday you will regain your full power, and then nothing will be able to stop us.

Weren't you going to meet with Athena Pierce, Your Highness? She is still in Henesys, isn't she?
