Hatred for the Knights

Whatever you do, don't underestimate the citizens of Edelstein. I didn't tell them who I was, but they figured out I was a Cygnus Knight within three days. Even the kids figured it out!

So, here's why the citizens of Edelstein hate the Cygnus Knights...

So... Um... The Black Wings took control of Edelstein to strip it of its natural resources so that they can revive the Black Mage, right?

Well, some people in Edelstein didn't like that, so they formed the Resistance. The Empress and her knights grouped up with them, since we have a common enemy and all.

The Resistance came up with this amazing plan to defeat the Black Wings once and for all, but they needed our help. We promised to send Cygnus Knights to their aid on the day of the battle.

But, when the day came, something unexpected happened to us. We could barely defend ourselves, let alone help Edelstein!

I... I can't talk about what happened to us. It still gives me nightmares. *shudder*

In the end, we managed to protect Ereve and the Empress, but at a heavy, heavy cost. And because of our absence, the Black Wings crushed Edelstein.

Do you get it now? Everyone here, even the kids, see the Cygnus Knights as traitors.

They refuse to have anything to do with us, so you're not likely to get much help from them.
