[Magatia's Secret] Test from the Head of Alcadno Society

Do you really think Magatia is a town full of scholars with pure intent on research? That's nonsense. There's no other town that bickers over territory for their own good like them. The days of scholars purely searching for the truth is long gone... well, that's perfect for brokers, though.

Is there a big conflict?

Yes, which makes life harder for travelers like you. People are in so much conflict between one another that it's hard to join either of the two forces. There's so much mistrust in the air that any outsiders will have a hard time entering their tight circle. If you ever went there, you know what I am talking about.

A little bit...

If you want to know more about the situation in Magatia, you will have to join either Zenumist or Alcadno, and be part of the group. Even that is going to be difficult, but... your humble broker knows a way or two to get in. What do you think? Are you interested in joining Alcadno?

I am interested in becoming a part of Alcadno.

There's no such thing as a free lunch, you know. But the flipside to that is that money can make certain matters go MUCH more smoothly. For example, I can make you a member of the Alcadnos. For a... modest fee, I'll get you past that pesky test and peer review.

To join the Alcadnos, you must write a research report and submit it to their leader, Maed. And that's just the first part... But I can spare you all the gory details, IF we have a deal.

I'm warning you in advance, the Alcadnos are all mechanical engineers with foul tempers. I really don't know why anyone would want to join them, but for those that do, all it costs is 1,000 Mesos.

Short on mesos? Or just getting cold feet? I warn you, it can take YEARS for those stuffy fellows to clear an application. Think about it.

I guess you really want to join the Alcadnos. I don't see the appeal, but whatever. So, do you have my money?

Wonderful! Just give me a moment. I'll cook up some research and peer reviews to pass the Alcadno's test.

What? Where's my 10,000 mesos? Get yourself in order if you want to deal!
