[Magatia] The Problems with Life Alchemy

Have you seen the Sand Rats roaming around outside Magatia? There weren't that many in the beginning, but their numbers have swelled these days... and they have gotten much more violent than before. It's not just the Sand Rats, either. The same is true of Dark Sand Dwarf and Scorpion monsters, too. There just weren't that many of them before.

As the research conducted by Alcadno has really picked up, these monsters have all grown in number. I don't know the exact reason behind it... but I do know that Alcadno's practices have definitely affected the environment around Magatia. Things really took a turn for the worse after the incident with that alchemist from Alcadno.

The very nature of the studies conducted by Alcadno go against the fundamental rules of nature! Have you seen the 'roids' they've built? Life is precious, but their imitations are an outrage. Alcadno is making a mockery of living things. I can't just sit and watch their heathen antics!

Ahh! But for now, we need to worry about the Sand Rat population! They keep munching off the bottoms of the half-completed airships. This is terrible, we won't be able to complete the construction if this vicious cycle keeps repeating itself. I want you to go there and kill off those Sand Rats.

Sand Rats can be found at the outskirts of Magatia. Start by destroying 20 of them. Thanks in advance!

If you don't want to do it, then that stinks, but... hey, are you an Alcadno? I can't stand Alcadnos! Get away from me!

You managed to eliminate all the Sand Rats. I believe the reason why Sand Rats, more than anything else, caused so much trouble was because the Alcadnos experimented with Sand Rats. The Life Alchemy? It sounds good, in theory only.

But, it's not something humans can control with our bare hands. It's not something we should try to control, period. A union between a machine and a living being? Cold metal merging with a human body? That would be the end of mankind! But the Alcadno seem ignorant of such things.

Anyway, thanks to your work, the Sand Rats should be in check for the foreseeable future. Thank you.

Have you not eliminated those Sand Rats, like I asked you to? Just get rid of 20. That would do so much to keep this place quiet for a while. Keep hunting!
