The Challenge

(It's in elegant handwriting.)

Dear Mercedes, Ruler of the Elves, I challenge you. If you have any courage and value your honor, face me in Sleepywood. I'll be waiting.

Yours truly, Nameless

Who was that? And what was he talking about?

He dares challenge the ruler of the Elves? He'll rue the day he messed with Mercedes! (You can reach Sleepywood through the portal at the Six Path Crossway.)

Maybe Athena Pierce knows something about him.

Didn't Aran used to get letters like this all the time? Who does he think I am? Forget it!
