The Outside World

The Black Wings have the Resistance up against a wall, yet the Resistance remains a very exclusive organization. Why do they not seek more help? Even I took the hit to my pride, and agreed to cooperate...

I am also curious about the outside world, so I will see Claudine in Secret Plaza, and ask about the current status of Edelstein in the world. I'll find out why the Resistance is so isolated, as well.

There must be a reason. What could it be?

What's up, [Nombre]? No missions today. Slow day for evil, I guess.

Ask her about the current status of Edelstein.

Edelstein? Well, the Resistance is doing what we can to keep the peace from within. On the outside, the Explorers and Cygnus Knights are making sure the Black Wings don't expand past Edelstein. I've heard that the legendary heroes are starting to return, too, so the rest of the world is in pretty good shape, I think.

(Cygnus...and the heroes? They won't be fond of me...) With so many fighting the Black Mage, why do you not join forces?

You don't know, [Nombre]... We DID ask the Cygnus Knights for help. We had an agreement...but when the time came, they never showed up. The Resistance suffered...painful setbacks that day.

After that, the Resistance took responsibility for Edelstein ourselves. We put our faith in others once, and they failed us. Never again. If the Cygnus Knights or the Explorers want to fight the Black Wings, they're welcome to. But we don't count on anyone but ourselves.

I should see Claudine in Secret Plaza.
