A Secret Request

Ah, the stranger from a faraway land who didn't recognize me. I'm THRILLED to see you again, simply thrilled. Because you saved me. No other reason.

Er. Great! So, you mentioned a reward earlier?

Did I? I don't remember anything about that. But I'll tell you what I WILL reward you for. Getting rid of a Sakura Kappa or 100! Those malicious, vile fiends have been attacking the townsfolk for no reason whatsoever. They're trouble-makers, I tell you!

Sounds like something I can help with, sure.

Did I mention that I've done, I mean, the townsfolk have done absolutely nothing to provoke them? Because that part's very important. Will you help?

The Sakura Kappa plan their horrible deeds in the bamboo forest east of town, where the night never ends, just like their awful, dark natures. I'll need a Kappa's Poison Pouch as proof that you've done the job. In fact, bring me 10, no, 20 of them.

Then you're no better than they are, you dumb little foreigner. Yeah, I went there.

You're back! Did you collect the Kappa's Poison Pouch-- I mean, did you hunt down the vile creatures?

Yup, they've been dealt with. And here's the proof you wanted, too.

Oh, wonderful, wonderful. I'll be sure to tell the townsfolk about your wonderful good deed. And I'll take care of these poisonous pouches. Wouldn't do to let them just lay around. What if a child were to find them?

My lord will also be happy to receive these pou-- That is, the ruler of this land will also be happy to hear of your great deed. Now, wander the town! Enjoy the sights! The cheery blossoms are lovely this time of year...

(Hamadaya smiles in a way that makes you feel like you might've made a BIG mistake helping him...)
