I was just in my hidden room, like always, when things went haywire. If it hadn't been for the Speedster I invented, I'd probably be a pile of goo buried under some rubble right now.

People keep asking me if I saw anything suspicious, but the only thing I saw was a blue pillar. I was taking a look at it earlier in the day and then things went wonky...

The pillar I saw is at the bottom of the 16th Floor. I think... I think it might go to another dimension! Go inside and eliminate any monsters you find. If you come back with some samples, I might be able to figure out what's going on. If you don't find anything after about 100 monsters, just come back. I don't want to be responsible for you getting stuck inside.

There were monsters inside that Mystic Gate, mean ones, but I didn't find any samples. And as soon as I left, the thing turned red.
