Grendel the Really Old and His Recovery

I heard about you through Dances with Balrog from Perion. We don't need to necessarily talk to each other to communicate; we communicate through our minds. You've worked hard to get here. But hey, you're looking for The Book of Ancient? Of course I also happen to have the piece of the map that shows the book's whereabouts. I've forgotten about it for a while...

But I can't just give you that. I also have been giving away a little bit of my power to all the magician-hopefuls for hundreds of years, but there have been a sudden rush of people wanting to be Magicians, I've used up most of my power as a result. Get me 2 Wisdom Crystals and I'll help you find The Book of Ancient. What do you think? Do you want to do it?

You may find a monster strutting about with a Wisdom Crystal in its gullet, if you are lucky. I am sure you will find one, with enough perseverance.

Hmmm. Without my help you won't ever be able to find The Book of Ancient. Anyway, if you have a change of heart, feel free to come back.

Do you not recall? Two Wisdom Crystal items is all I asked for. You will find them inside a monster, my crystal ball tells me so.
