To Victoria Island

In order to become stronger, you must experience more worldly things, which means you should expand your horizon by leaving this island. Staying here in Rien will only get you so far.

Press W to open the world map. You'll see the whole world that you have forgotten, the world which you had fought so hard to save. Of all the places listed here, you should...

...head over to Victoria Island first. There you'll be able to meet new people, battle different types of monsters, and gain invaluable experiences. Since you have lost all of your memory, your mind should be a blank canvas right now. Use this experience to soak up as much as you can, so that the next time you face the Black Mage, you will be able to look at him in the eye and not even flinch.

There's actually a person there in Victoria Island that should be able to help you on your journey. Mr. Truth, or Tru, as he's called by the outside world, should be there. He's an Information Dealer in Lith Harbor. Take this letter, and he'll recognize you at once.

Finding Lith Harbor in Victoria Island is easy. Exit the town to the right, then walk past the snowy forest and you'll see a small harbor which the penguins operate. There, strike a conversation with Puro and get on board.

I notified Puro in advance not to charge you a fee, since it's your first time. Once the ship reaches Lith Harbor, find your way towards Tru's Info Shop where you'll find Tru.

I'll be waiting for you here, hoping that the next time I see you, you'll be that much stronger and more powerful than before.

(If you accept, you'll travel to the quest map automatically.)

Are you here to buy some valuable information? Hmmm? Is this... Lilin's Letter? Are you from Rien? But the only human being that lives there is Lilin... Are you from somewhere else? Wait, no other person would dare to go there... so how did you...? Wait. Let me read this letter first.

...I can't believe it. I'm standing in front of a hero. I used to live on that island myself, and I also used to believe the prophecy, but... oh my goodness. Lilin's wishes have finally come true. What? You want to know what I was just talking about?

After discovering the Book of Prophecy, our race has been bracing for your inevitable resurrection for hundreds of years... all in that tiny island with nothing but ice... but the hero never came, and we've been slowly losing our faith in the prophecy.

In the end, most people left Rien, tired of waiting for the prophecy that never came true. I just hope you don't blame them for leaving. They had to do what they had to do, you know. But, that being said...

Lilin was the one person that never lost hope, and stayed in Rien long after everyone else left, holding onto the belief that the hero will someday come back and save us. Even after her older brother left the island. That's one stubborn kid, I tell you.

But now that you're here, that stubborness has been rewarded. Thank you for coming back. Now I can look Lilin in the eye again. I have felt so bad for not being of any support to her, even though we are cousins.

Just tell me what you want to do, and I'll be there to help. Not just because you're the hero in our eyes, but also because you've validated Lilin.

Oh no, did you lose the letter? Without it, no one will believe that you are a hero... I'll write you another one, and please don't lose it this time.

Hmmm? Are you here to purchase some valuable information? But I do have a rule here with the sales of information. I do not sell information to anyone that does not have a letter of introduction with them. Sorry, but I need you to get a letter of introduction from someone you know.

You still haven't gone to Lith Harbor in Victoria Island? Just head east past town until you reach the harbor, then get on board the ship. The first ride will be free, so no worries there.
