As I suspected... The girl that visited Magatia will have been Orchid, the leader of the Black Wings. I would assume she knew of the Black Mage's alchemical research, since she was one of his first disciples.

I suspect that Gelimer took the alchemy research from Orchid and used it for his own means. The thought of someone like him using such dangerous magic sends shivers down my spine. We will need to act quickly.
