Alchemical Traces

Hi. I called you to run an errand for me.

I'm from Magatia originally. Many alchemists and scientists come from the Zenumist and Alcadno academies. Their research on magic basically produced alchemy, including the forbidden branch...

That would be the magic that creates life. Only a select few even know of its existence. I believe Gelimer is one of them. You and your little friend seem to indicate some form of life creation...

Go to Magatia and find out more about the forbidden research. More specifically, Gelimer's involvement in it.

I will give you a letter to help you with the investigation. Hold on for a moment.

This matter involves the safety of Magatia and, perhaps, all of Maple World. It's not to be ignored.

Both the Zenumist and Alcadno academies are closed to the public because of the clandestine nature of their research. You won't find any friends there as an outsider.

Show them this letter and mention my name when you arrive. They should give you passage.

The relationship between these two academics is quite sour, so their buildings are at the opposite ends of the city. First, visit Carson in the Zenumist Society, on the the left edge of Magatia.
