Bavan the Watchman

Nom-nom-nom, who are you, with your fancy sleek clothes? You look a little well-off to be one of the new recruits. Perhaps you're one of the officer's children, working your way up!

Maybe I'll tell you a little secret on advancing through the ranks. You'll have to help me first. It's a little thing. Just bring a Snake Leather Bag from a Serpent.

Look at the luster on that Snake Leather Bag! Lady Le Tierre is sure to love it! Oh, your tip. Yes, the fastest way to get ahead is through bribery! Just give money and gifts to your betters until they give you what you want!

I was a skinny little street rat like yourself before I started bribing my way to the top. Just look at me now! I report all of the town's happenings straight up the chain, no matter how trivial they may seem. I'm on my way to the top!

I've heard that the upper echelon of our organization are rolling in benefits! Money, honor, UNDERLINGS! Think of the chefs I could hire! You never have to do a day of work in your life and they just keep paying you!

You'll find a Serpent or two if you just head east. It's called the Serpent Path after all. You'll find a nice bag if you keep whacking those snakes.

I'd even get to leave Edelstein and travel the world. I don't know all the details, but I know it's great! Money is all you need, no?

(Bavan's mind is on his own promotions. I should find another trail to chase.)

Have it your way, rookie. You can wallow as a lowly watchman forever.

I hear you can get a Snake Leather Bag from a Serpent, if you are lucky...
