Evidence of the Seal

I heard the news. You were able to reseal Rex. I was foolish to have trusted Shammos! I'm so relieved I sent you with him.

Shammos has lost his power and is back to his crazy old self. Still, I plan to watch him more carefully from now on. I'm sure you now realize that he can never be trusted.

Yes, Shammos was once a great Magician, but he crossed a line and challenged the source of life itself. That mistake can never be forgiven. Eventually, his blind obsession with forbidden magic, coupled with his inhumane experiments, cost him his humanity and transformed him into a Hoblin.

Gritto wanted to kill Shammos, but Grendel could not, out of respect for his magical abilities.

Therefore, his memory was erased, and he was forever confined down there. We, the elders, have been watching him ever since, making sure he never recovers what he lost.

But in the end, he did recover his memory, and was able to reach out to Rex. We were negligent. His plan was to send Rex to destroy El Nath, then escape in the chaos.

Shammos is cunning and more dangerous than we can even imagine. If you ever come into contact with him again, be very careful.

You should have obtained the Essence of the Hoblin King, after defeating Rex the Hoblin King. You must bring that back.
