Farewell, My Monkey

Installing this is going to take a little while, so you might as well busy yourself with something. Hey, maybe you should say goodbye to the monkey? You know the one that saved your life? You might as well, since you won't be coming back.

Ook! Ook! Ook! Ook! (The monkey looks so happy to see you. This monkey has done a lot for you.)

Um, thank you for all your help. But, I'm leaving soon. So...this is goodbye.

Ook? (The monkey does not seem to understand what you're saying. Maybe you should explain it to him.)

I found a way to escape the island. Cutter and I are going home. I won't...see you again...

Ook? Ook! Ook! Ooook! (The monkey smiles happily. Does he still not understand?)

Ahh, what did I expect? You're a monkey. Well, for what it's worth, thanks. Take care, monkey. I...will miss you.

Ook! Ook! (The monkey remains quite happy.)

Ahh, the monkey. A finer deserted island companion I have never had. He will be missed. He would have made a decent pirate, come to think of it. Ah well. Back to work. Go say your piece, and let's go.

Really? You're just going to ignore the monkey? He has feelings too, you know. Monkey feelings, but those are almost like people feelings.

What's your deal? That monkey saved your life, and it's not like you're doing anything anyway. Go say goodbye!
