The Unspeakable Truth

I've already read it, so you can have it. Whatever happens, I'm supposed to follow in my master's footsteps and defeat Balrog. I don't need his diary to accomplish that.

So what did talking to Tristan's apprentice reveal? He said that Jin's a filthy, dirty backstabber, right?

(You shake your head and tell him what you learned from Tristan's ghost. Ryden is pale by the time you finish.)

Fine. Show me Tristan's Records, the keepsake that you brought. Quickly.

Someone needs to hold on to that keepsake, right? Might as well be you. Go on. Take it.

This means... Jin didn't murder Lady Syl's father. Jin has been letting Lady Syl accuse and hate him all this time... to protect her? I can't believe it...

Lady Syl will be shattered. The only thing that keeps her going is the thought of vengeance. How is she going to take this? For once, I don't know what to do...

Let me think about the best way to break the news to her. And don't even think about breathing a word of this to Lady Syl.

Why are you still lurking around here? I thought you said someone needed those records...

You still haven't gone to Sleepywood? I heard Tristan's apprentice is there. Find him and talk to him.

Hey, buddy, you're even clumsier than I am. You dropped my master's keepsake. Tie it under your shirt or something.
