Third Mission: Investigation

I'm glad you're here. I called for you because there is something I want to tell you. Remember when I told you that Lady Syl is the true master of Kerning City? Well, it's true. The current Dark Lord only gained his position by murdering the former Dark Lord! He hides the fact well with his supposedly fair and honest facade.

Our mission is to expose his lies and establish Lady Syl, the sole bloodline of the former Dark Lord, to her rightful place. Unfortunately, the current Dark Lord is very well liked by the Kerning City residents. We won't be able to retake Kerning City without unveiling his true nature.

We want to begin the mission to expose the Dark Lord. We want to entrust you with the first assignment. Are you prepared to handle it?

Good. Now, the first thing you must do is find out what people think about the Dark Lord. I'm sure he has been great in perpetuating a fake image of himself that has been created over the years. But still, there has to be some who have entertained doubts about his true identity. This is where we must focus.

Talk to the Kerning City residents and report back to me about their opinions. First, talk to Nella.

If you're not confident about this mission, then you're excused. We won't benefit from such a lack of commitment.

Hello! Isn't the weather beautiful today? The evening glow looks marvelous, thanks to this wonderful weather.

The Dark Lord enjoys the evening glow as well...

Ah yes... It's because the Dark Lord passionately loves Kerning City. Although he may appear cold on the outside, I know that his heart is filled with love for Kerning City!

I just wonder why he never comes out of the Jazz Bar. Maybe he's active only when everyone else is asleep? His mysteriousness certainly adds to his charm, but it also makes me wonder if there is some secret he is keeping.

First, talk to Nella, the cute girl in ponytails.
