Tumbleweed's Return

Moonbeam was crying? Ahh, I was afraid of this. She was especially close to you. Well, Tumbleweed is back in town. He's the owner of the house you're staying at, remember.

I suppose we can't keep it a secret from you forever. But Moonbeam is still a child and has a soft heart. I'm sure she couldn't bear to tell you. It'll be best to hear the details from Tumbleweed yourself.

Ah, don't worry about the house. He's just here to say hello and pick up a few things. I'm sure he'll be going again soon. What you do after you speak to Tumbleweed is up to you.

I am Moonbeam's grandpa, after all. I don't want to tell you things she doesn't want tell you herself.

Tumbleweed will tell you everything, including what Moonbeam is trying to hide from you.

You must be Shade! Earless and tailess, just like everyone said. That makes you human, right? Did you come from Maple World?

Yes, but how do you know about Maple World? Have you been there? What's it like now?

Whoa, slow down. I've never been to Maple World. You can only get there by crossing dimensions. I've met travelers from there... There's a whole bunch of humans in Pantheon, for example. You know about the Interdimensional Portal, right?

The what? No, not at all. I have no idea how I got here. I...

...

...I woke up under the Fox Tree. I thought something must have sent me here.

Weird. That's a better story than I can come up with! So, it never occurred to you that you weren't on Maple World anymore?

No, I figured that much out myself. Maple World doesn't have two moons, for starters. But, what is this Dimensional Gate thing? Some kind of link between here and Maple World?

I'm not really sure. It gives me the willies whenever I get near it. You were probably sent here through a hidden portal, so the real portal is probably your best bet for getting home.
