Untrustworthy Envoy

[Nama], welcome. I'd like to discuss something with you if you have a moment. One of the chiefs of Victoria Island, Kyrin, sent someone to invite us to join their Maple Alliance this morning.

I'm not so sure. Cygnus is part of this Alliance, and I'm not exactly eager to start trusting them again. They might betray us again. Yet, the tyranny of the Black Wings grows by the day. I fear we're fighting a losing battle... We may have no choice but to accept their help someday.

I was hoping to hear your opinion, but I suppose you're just as confused as I am. Maybe we should ask the Headmaster's thoughts. [Nama], will you speak with Ferdi about this?

The Headmaster is probably in front of the school, as usual.

We need to make our decision soon. What should we do?

What seems to be troubling you, [Nama]?

The Maple Alliance, a union between the Cygnus Knights and the Explorers, wants us to join them. Claudine doesn't know what to do...

Hmm...[Nama], how do you feel about it? Do you think we should accept this invitation?

I really don't know... We can't trust the Cygnus Knights. I don't know much about Explorers, but I don't want to be betrayed again. But we also can't defeat the Black Wings without help... I can't say what we should do.

Yes, you are right on both counts. That is why this decision is so important. No matter what we choose, we stand to lose something. We must make this decision carefully. I personally believe that if their offer is sincere, they will be able to convince us. Perhaps we should give them some time and see what they do...

Make sure you don't become close minded. Bias and stubborness are not our allies here. That's the only advice I can give you.

Headmaster Ferdi should be in front of the school, as always.
