Black Scale

I feel a strange aura emitting from you. Do you by any chance have 黒い鱗 with you? Recently, a number of cursed 黒い鱗s have been flashing all over the world, and I can feel the same thing from you. It's a very dangerous item, so would you mind giving it to me?

Where are you located? Hmmm... the fact that it feels close makes me suspect that you might be around エルナス. It's not too far from here, so I want you to go to オルビス and hand me 黒い鱗. デュナミス had that too, and... it seems like 黒い鱗s are easily found in エルナス...

You should know that as long as you hold on to it, you will be affected by it as well, from a higher percentage of scroll failure and lower drop rate to item decomposition. You may even lose hair as well. Are you sure you want to hold on to it?

Oh, so you did bring 黒い鱗. Good work. It's a dangerous item, so as soon as I feel it, I make sure to contact that individual and have that person bring it to me. Thankfully, most of the people I contacted promptly came and gave them to me, so it's not that difficult... the problem is that the level of curse seems quite powerful.

Did you... take one from デュナミス, by chance?

デュナミス? Are you talking about that Knight デュナミス? Yes, he brought a whole bunch of 黒い鱗 acquired from zombies. He wasn't satisfied with just retrieving those items, but he was rather interested in finding the origin so he could snuff them out. That's why he started asking me about the information on 黒い鱗.

Can you tell me what you told デュナミス?

It was really nothing special. 黒い鱗 may look small on the outside, but it's really a scale of a dragon. Most dragon scales reflect magic, but since the curse is so deeply ingraned, I told him I suspect these scales are from a special dragon.

Apparently, that was enough for デュナミス to pack up and leave, and told me he'll be heading over to リプレ and find out more... about the scales. Since リプレ is the land where dragons and Halflingers coexist, there's got to be more information there.

Hmmm...? You didn't bring 黒い鱗 with you? Please gather up the 黒い鱗s that are laden with the power of curse.
