Francis Spills the Beans

*Sniff sniff* My puppet's broke again... and I'm out of wood and string... I c-can't even repair my puppet now! Wahhhh! Wahhhhhhhhhhh!

(I guess I hit him too hard. It's going to be really hard to get the information I need.)

I don't care... I don't care about anything in the world! Nothing means anything if I can't fix my puppet! I want to curl up in a ball and cry until I die! Waaahhhhh!

Get yourself together, man! I'll get your idiotic puppet pieces if you stop that infernal wailing.

I don't care about anyth... You'll get stuff for me? This better not be a trick. I'll need the ゴーレムの核... about 40 of them...

You'll really get them for me? I'd go beat up the Golems myself, but I just don't have any c-c-confidence anymore.

(If you accept, you'll travel to the quest map automatically.)

I knew you were lying! Wahhhhhhh!

Y-you really got the parts for me? I don't know who you are, but you're not a complete idiot...

That means a lot, coming from a sniveling toad.

What did you want from me, anyway? You just barged in here and started breaking everything.

Tell me about the Black Wings. What do they want?

Y-you beat me up for that?! They want to bring the Black Mage back! Any lowlife on the street could tell you that!

What does that have to do with extracting energy from エーデルシュタイン?

I don't know... ルティエ said they needed energy to bring the Black Mage back. I don't know anything about it, I swear!

You must know something. Why are they collecting Seal Stones? They should be useless.

Isn't that obvious? We have to collect all of the Seal Stones to bring him back! That's how it works! Duh!

You'll stop feeding me false leads if you don't want another broken puppet. The Seal Stones don't have that kind of power.

N-no! I swear it! I was told we had to collect all of the Seal Stones to awaken the Black Mage! Why else would they have sent us out to find them?!

Who told you that?

Those orders came directly from the founder of the Black Wings, Commander Or... No! I can't say anymore!

I-I'm not telling you anymore! You can break all my puppets, but I'm not gonna do it!

*Sniff sniff* When will I get to fix my broken puppet? I'll need at least 40 ゴーレムの核 items... I can't get beaten up anymore and those Golems are too strong!
