[Magatia's Secret] Maed's Experiment

You... are the young alchemist that received アルカドノのマント not too long ago... how can I help you? Do you need help on your research? Hmm? A missing alchemist? A missing alchemist... that must be... ドラン. I advise you not to delve too deep into this. He concocted an experiment that endangered many lives...

Don't you think a true Alcadno alchemist would pursue the answer at all cost, even if in danger?

...Well... If you say it like that, then I don't know what to say. I do know that I can't tell you everything about ドラン. You do not have the right to know, and I do not have the right to share it with others. No one knows anything substantial about that alchemist. There's no way anyone would know.

I don't think it's a good idea to just cover up the truth.

...You're not wrong on that. Actually, you are right on that. Maybe it's time to search for the truth... and we need someone who's capable of carrying out this project... but that doesn't mean I'll have to share the story of De Lang with you. I want you to prove your worth first. If you do, then I will share more information on ドラン.

As a proud alchemist of Alcadno, I want you to do something for Alcadno. It's not going to be easy, but... what you'll need to do is eliminate 20 ホムンクルー. Zenumists secretly attack us in the middle of the night with them, so... by destroying them, it'll really help Alcadno out.

I am telling you this in advance, but ホムンクルー is very powerful... Maybe you'll have to risk your life to do this, but if you can't pull this off... then how can I put my trust in you on other tasks? Please head over to the basement lab of Zenumist.

(Accept to move to the next quest location.)

I can't help you if you can't find a way to prove your worth. I can't tell you anything about De Lang.

So you were able to defeat ホムンクルー and come back safe. I can't say I have total trust in you, but... I am at least sure that you are NOT a Zenumist. That's enough. It's impossible to shield it from other people for too long, anyway... so... I'll now put you in charge of ドラン's investigation.

I don't think you were able to slay all 20 ホムンクルーs... Please make me believe in you.
