The Master of Disguise

Ereve is protected by Shinsoo, so when an evil force enters the island, it's easy to detect that something is wrong. The problem is, we were unable to do so this time around, and that's because the culprit disguised himself as a Knight. He's the 変化師 Baroq, the member of the Black Wings. He is responsible for the theft.

The treasure is one of those important items that MUST NOT be in the hands of the Black Mage. The 変化師 has yet to escape Ereve, so I need you to join the search as well. Before conducting the search however, you must first acquire an エレヴ捜索許可証, so go visit ナインハート and obtain the Investigation Permit.

You MUST locate the 変化師, eliminate it, and bring back the treasure. I, as well as other Knights, will join you in this effort.

Beware of the fact that the 変化師 is capable of tricking you by pretending to be someone else. His appearances may change, but the inner self won't, so I suggest you keep talking to various Knights until you hear something that doesn't sound like it would come from a Knight. If you do, you can consider that individual the 変化師 and attack immediately.

You can run away if you're afraid of this. Just know that if you keep running away, you will never amount to anything.

So you were able to defeat the 変化師 バロック. Brilliant!

The Empress has expressed gratitude for your effort and loyalty.

Were you not able to find the 変化師? The 変化師 has yet to escape Ereve. You must first visit ナインハート and obtain the Investigation Permit before conducting the search. Once you have begun the search, you must defeat the 変化師 and recover 失われた宝物(ソウルマスター).
