Sorry, we'd never considered that anyone than Hilla's subordinates would try to enter the Refugee Zone. What brings a strong warrior like yourself to Azwan? As you can see, there isn't much here but restless souls...

You see, when Hilla the head shamaness presented Azwan to the Black Mage most of our people had their soul stolen, and they subsequently turned into monsters. Only the souls here in the Refugee Zone survived. If we leave, the same fate is bound to befall us.

So I must ask, how DID you get in here? You went under the barrier? Hmm. I'd never considered that. But, isn't it dangerous outside the barrier? What of Hilla's subordinates?

...The Black Mage was sealed? And that was hundreds of years ago, you say? And only now has he returned?
