A Missing Friend

[Nome], take this photo to Claudine.

If Claudine seems depressed after looking at that photo, then... Eh, forget it. I hate making dumb speculations.

Just take it to her! I'll deal with her if she gets all grumpy on you.

Aren't you worried about Claudine? Y-you... forget it. I don't care!

What is it, [Nome]?

Belle wanted me to give you this. To cheer you up.

This photo... I used to know this child. It was days before the Black Wings came, before they began to take people...

Who is your friend?

Back in the lab, you asked me where I got the dagger. It belonged to my friend. We were playing one day and I asked if I could see it. I was going to make a nice sheath, but the Black Wings... I held on to it, hoping to return it one day.

I want to ask you something, Claudine.

What is it?

What if your friend came back?

I'd like that very much.

Even if your friend was a completely different person?

I...

What if everything is different now?

I-It doesn't matter to me. Everything changes, even this town, but we make do with what we have. I know my friend was a good person, and that's all that matters to me.

As much as I'd love for things to go back to the way they were, everything's different now, and that's okay. I'll fight for the city and the people I love.

What was Claudine up to? Uh, you DO know where she is right? She's at the center of the Secret Plaza.
