A Suspicious Pirate

I need to ask you something.

Remember when you arrived on Victoria Island? You took a ship from Maple Island to Lith Harbor. You happen to meet anyone strange on the boat ride?

No? You sure? Let me get you up to speed.

Someone rather suspicious became a Pirate recently. Two things set off warning bells in my head.

First, he was a little TOO skilled for a rookie Explorer. Fact is, he seemed about my level. Now, why would someone like that come to me for a Job Advancement?

Second, he was wearing a mask. He mumbled something about the bird flu and I let it slide, but I regretted it the moment I saw him use a skill.

He disappeared before I could confront him. Then, I got to thinking, you and him arrived on Victoria Island rough abouts the same time, so I thought you might know him.

The guy's name was Tess. You ever run into him, you gather some intel for me, you hear? Find out what he's up to.

Much obliged. He didn't seem the type to attack folks weaker than himself, so you should be safe. No offense.

Keep me updated, yeah?

Hey, I'm saying IF you run into him, just chat him up a bit, is all.
