My hands have stopped trembling. I think I can explain what happened now. Initially, my goal was just to interrupt the development of the weapon, but when I got there, the weapon was already done. It was a Poison Gas Generator that looked extremely dangerous.

It hadn't been fully tested, but I wanted to stop it from being delivered, so I tried to destroy it...alone. And, well, I failed. The poison gas was potent. And that's how I ended up caged, as you saw.

We can get out of here easily with the Hideout Return Scroll you have, but we can't in good conscience leave. The poison gas in that device could wipe out all of Edelstein in an instant! We HAVE to destroy that weapon before we leave.

To tell you the truth, I think you have about a 30% chance of destroying the new weapon. It uses massive amounts of poison that humans can't endure. But I won't stop you from trying. You were the most outstanding student I've ever had, and I actually believe you might be able to do this.

The new weapon is on the other side of that door. You must destroy it before they use it for some vile purpose!

Poison gas is a weapon of mass destruction. It doesn't take long to wipe out a region, let alone a town. I've seen it with my own eyes. Think it over before you make your decision.

Have you not destroyed the Poison Gas Generator yet? It's extremely powerful, so thoroughly prepare yourself. I should have brought more antidotes and potions!
