Hey, [Name], I'm Ally the Alchemist. Have we met? I can't recall... Anyway, you wanna hear about a scroll enhancement that uses up equipment upgrade slots?
Reply to “No”
You wanna be strong, you've got to enhance your equipment. Talk to me if you want to hear more about it.

Good choice, I'll start with how you can use scroll enhancements on your equipment to strengthen it.
You need some
Spell Traces to use the scroll enhancement. You can get them from hunting monsters or extracting them from scrolls.
To extract scrolls, use another player's extractor or a professional skill, Alchemy, that you can learn when you're at least Lv. 35.
First, check your remaining upgrades on the equipment you want to enhance.
The equipment and the available scrolls will be marked. Select one of them and click 'Start Enhancement'. Easy, right?
But don't forget to collect enough
Spell Traces!
Now, your enhancements may fail, depending on what kind of scroll you choose. If you fail, the equipment will not be enhanced but you still lose the upgrade count.
If the available upgrades for the armor is 4 when using a scroll enhancement, your Attack Power and Magic ATT will increase by an additional 1. That means you should always use Spell Traces to enhance armor, right?
Not only can you use
Spell Traces for scroll enhancements, but you can also buy whole scrolls with them. To do that, drag the traces directly onto the equipment or use the hammer icon on the Inventory window. You can also use the hotkey, which is set to 'O' by default.
There's a rumor that you can enhance equipment pieces even after their upgrade counts have all been used up. I can't say for sure, though... Anyway, I hope you find that helpful.
