Starting the quest

Hey, what's up, man? I thought we were all good. Why'd you come back?

Why are you still here? I thought that you were going to set sail.

I want to be a sailor, like you.

Hmmm... (This kid is smart...)

Hey, I just got rid of all those ghosts for you! Gimme more rewards!

What are you hiding from me?

Okay, okay... I'll tell you my last secret, man.

Reply to “Yes”

There's so many ghosts around here... Taking them down is just a temporary solution, ya know? I know what we can do... but I'm scared to tell you. I don't want you to get hurt...

But there's a ghost, meaner than all the rest of them, man. The meanest ghost you've ever seen. And he's in charge. Large and in charge! They call him Capt. Latanica... he lives deep inside the ghost ship, in the middle of a maze you'd go crazy trying to solve. As long as he's in charge, these shores are gonna be the home of ghosts and ghouls!

If you could defeat this notorious Capt. Latanica and get his Black Essence as proof... That'd just be something, man. I've heard you have to have a White Essence to open the door in #541010100. I forgot which one it was though...

I know... I know... It is not an easy decision to make...

What? You're too young for the sea. Come back in a decade, man.

This aggression will not stand, man!

Turning in the quest

I've been keeping that secret for years... I hope I did the right thing, man.

Reply to “Yes”

You really are the toughest Mapler I've ever met, you know that, man? You really are a brave Mapler, aren't you? This is great. This is going to be great news for my crew. Again...thank you. Thank you so much. You will never know how much this means to us.

Additional replies

I can't go out to the sea unless I see that Black Essence as proof that Capt. Latanica isn't gonna haunt me to a watery grave.

The life of Boat Quay is in your hands, man!
