Leader Kaiser?

I'll put in a good word with the Nova Council. Thank you for being honest, Kaiser. I am sure I'll need your assistance again in the future.

Ah, Kaiser. I have something to tell you.

The Nova Council are debating making you the new leader... What do you think?

Do you mean leader of the Reclamation HQ? Isn't that Piston's job?

Piston is out due to his injuries. I heard it'll take some time for him to get well.

The many allies that helped in the reclamation so far have withdrawn, and the Reclamation HQ is running on a skeleton crew. A leader like Kaiser would be an important symbol of strength.

Above all else, you made a remarkable contribution in this operation to reclaim Heliseum. To acknowledge such, their intention is to reward you.

Then I must refuse. It hasn't been that long since I took on the name of guardian, and I'm not ready to take on such a role.

Hm... I thought you might refuse, but not so quickly. Don't you desire the position of leader? I think you're more than capable of being the leader of HQ.

Please give it some more thought. I certainly can't make you, but...

Have you decided?

Yes. Thank you for the consideration, but... I won't change my mind.

And the reason? Do you still think you're not capable?

Yes, but... There is another reason.

If I become the leader now, it will help clean up the rest of Heliseum. However, I... think our fight as the Nova reaches much farther than that.

This isn't about Magnus. I'm talking about Gerand Darmoor, who we'll have to fight someday. We made an alliance with Maple World as the first step in preparing for that future.

I think the Nova as a whole need to become stronger. Not only that, I need to be stronger, as Kaiser.

To do that... I need to explore a wider world, instead of staying in Heliseum. I must travel to improve myself. That is why I can't be the leader.

...I can see you gave much thought to your answer. Very well. There is wisdom in your decision. This is not the time for the Nova to be satisfied with Heliseum. There's a need to reach out into a bigger world. We must prepare for the upcoming fight.
