Path of the Battle Mage

It is good to see you here. Allow me to reintroduce myself. I am Brighton, Magician instructor of the Resistance. It has been...difficult for me, playing a role that has no semblance of my own personality. Think of it! A Battle Mage who sweeps the streets? Ridiculous! But we must all make sacrifices for our cause.

Now, you are probably accustomed to Magicians who elegantly cast spells from a distance, but Battle Mages are...different.

Battle Mages are Magicians who like to get right up into the heat of battle and fight with quick, consecutive magic attacks. We are much better able to defend ourselves than regular Magicians, too.

So yes, we use magic, but we're more like Warriors than Magicians, really. We have an arsenal of secondary magic skills, but they're for attacking. We stand on the front line, risking neck and limb to block enemies from getting through. We are fighter Magicians and we are vital to the Resistance.

Some accuse us of being unconventional, but who cares? The results are what's important, and if our unique set of skills help drive the Black Wings out of Edelstein, no one has a right to complain. So, will you join our ranks? Let me know, now or later, once you've made up your mind.

Let me warn you now that being a Battle Mage is far from easy. Short range and complicated controls are but a few of the difficulties we face. Are you sure you want to embark on the path of a Battle Mage?

Perhaps you can't visualize yourself as a Battle Mage. No matter. I am sure there is another job that will suit your personality. Talk to Belle.
