I ran into a huge robot that I'd never seen before in the year 2099 harbor. This popped out after I destroyed it...

Yup, this is the SSG-001 that I dropped. It's one of the core parts of the Time Diver that I gave you.

Then how can this Time Diver operate...?

The core component, SSG-000, is still intact. The watch wouldn't work without it... Anyway, you should be able to travel to more distant time periods with the SSG-001. Next up is the year 2215.

A bit of advice before you go...the strongest monster is that place most likely has the item. The monster was probably drawn to the item's power.
