Starting the quest
Just now, while you were foolin' around, Scadur whistled me all the latest news. Turns out, Alcaster thinks the monsters in the Dead Mine gobbled down some Broken Star Fragments. He's gonna need 40 of those fragments for his research. Since my weapon doesn't work on them, this job's on you.
Reply to “Yes”
Any monster in the Dead Mine might've ate some up. Head back to Alcaster once you have 40 fragments.
Reply to “No”
You just let me know if you change your mind.
Turning in the quest
Ah, you're here!
Reply to “Yes”
This will be a huge help for my research! I'm about 40% certain of that!

Collect 40 Star Fragments.
