Starting the quest
Neinheart told you what happened, right? It's just terrible! Ereve is usually an island protected by the power of Shinsoo, which prevented forces of evil from landing here, but... a master of transformation! Who would have thought?
Ah, you didn't hear anything about the master of transformation? The Master of Disguise Baroqis actually a member of the Black Wings, and he's very good at transforming to someone else. He'll come back as one of the knights, and I need you to spot the fake.
It is a treasure that MUST NOT end up at the hands of the Black Mage. The Master of Disguise has yet to leave Ereve, so start the dash! Ereve shall be found soon. The Ereve Investigation Permit required to conduct a search will be given to by Neinheart!
Now go ahead and defeat the Master of Disguise, so you can bring back the treasure home! I'll be conducting searches of my own with other Knights as well.

The Master of Disguise is most likely disguised as one of the Knights. The appearances may change, but the inner self won't, so I suggest you keep talking to various Knights until you hear something that doesn't sound like it would come from a Knight. If you do, you can consider that individual the Master of Disguise and attack immediately.

Wait a minute, are you afraid of this? Seriously, what other adventure can bring this much excitement? Don't be scared... Think it over. You can't possibly expect yourself to improve just by sitting around doing nothing, right?
Turning in the quest
Wow! You were able to defeat Baroq! That is just incredible! Yeah!
Reply to “Yes”
The Empress is ecstatic, as well! Yeah!

You still haven't found the Master of Disguise? I hear that he has yet to escape Ereve, so if you keep searching, you'll find him. Go see Neinheart and receive the Investigation Permit to start searching on Ereve. Once you encounter the Master of Disguise, eliminate it, and bring back The Lost Treasure with you!
