Tristan's Successor

Hello, young adventurer.

There, there, don't be shocked. You and I live in different worlds, so there is no reason to be afraid of me.

My name is Tristan. I took my last breath here a few decades ago. Balrog and I both died here, but the force of Balrog could not be consumed by death. Manji, who was an ambitious young adventurer at the time, sealed the force of Balrog with the help of my spirit.

But as time passes, the power of the seal grows weaker and weaker. Balrog, the Prince of Darkness, is going to reemerge any day now. Brave adventurer, the aura of evil is spreading throughout the entire underground dungeon. Our task is to prevent Balrog from reviving until he finally gives up.

Easier said than done, of course, but I believe a true warrior like yourself can pull through. What do you say?

Your job is to stop Balrog from reviving. If you can stop him 200 times, you will be known as a true warrior of Maple World. If you can accomplish this mission, I will accept you as my successor. Believe in yourself. I am counting on you, young adventurer.

I appreciate that you're thinking things through carefully, but we don't have much time.
