I'm tired of Winston's games. The Dark Stumps had the cover of that diary, so they must have the rest.

I'm pretty sure I was right about that.

The writing is almost illegible, but I think I can read it...

'Day 25

I can't stop thinking it was my fault for letting them get captured. I couldn't do anything when they were taken. And now I'm supposed to choose. How do you choose between the love of your life or the child you brought into this world? Tomorrow, I have to make that choice, and I don't know what I'm going to do.'

A choice? Between me and mom? So... he chose me... No, I can't be sure with just this. This isn't the whole picture...
