We fought so hard to seal the Black Mage, and suffered his curse as a result. Yet after all that, we must face him again, hundreds of years later? Why can't we beat him? He's like a cockroach. A terrifying, world-destroying cockroach...

We're not ready to face him yet. The Elves are still cursed, and our other allies must be long dead by now.

The Mistelteinn couldn't nullify the curse entirely, but since she was far from the village, it might have kept her safe, at least.
