Lady Syl's Decision

[名字], I've come to an important conclusion about the future of the Dual Blades. As you've proven yourself, I would like you to see the Dark Lord in Kerning City as my envoy. Are you ready to accept this mission?

You may have heard that the Explorers and the Cygnus Knights have joined forces to form the Maple Alliance. I suppose they had to stop ignoring the Black Mage's threat sooner or later. I've carefully considered what role the Dual Blades will play in the coming conflict.

They argue that we must join forces as a simple matter of justice. I'm not so delusion to buy into their 'justice' talk, of course, but this may still presents an interesting opportunity for us. We will join their Alliance under the banner of 'Dual Blades,' distinct and separate from Thieves.

Our forces are greater than all of the other Explorers combined. Of course they want us to join them... Our first goal is to earn their fear and respect by proving our strength. Our second goal is to gain our own sovereign domain in Victoria Island once the war is over. We will emerge from the shadows of Kerning City triumphant.

[名字], deliver our intent to join the Maple Alliance to the Dark Lord. He is well respected among the Explorers, and his words will carry weight. Go now.

Return when you are ready. But don't waste too much time.

Hm, you're no ordinary thief. State your business.

You'll find out about me soon enough. Today, I represent another.

Represent another...? Drop the mysterious act.

I represent Lady Syl. She wants you to know that the Dual Blades wish to join the Maple Alliance.

Syl?! Syl sent you here?

Yes. She offers the service of the Dual Blades in exchange for our own territory on Victoria Island once we have won the war for the Alliance. We won't budge on this point. You know how strong we are; the rest is up to you.

...that sounds like Syl, all right. The rest of the Alliance won't be so keen on letting the Dual Blades join. I will discuss this with the other chiefs, but in the end it will be up to Dances with Balrog of Perion. I suggest you take it up with him.

Syl... I hope that she is doing well...
