The Chase and the Conspiracy

Here, take this 魔力追蹤指南針. Hmmm...I sense the magicians in the west side of 瑪迦提亞城. They must be escaping towards 納希綠洲城.

You must catch them, and bring the 黃金煉金術書 back to me.

It will take them about 10 minutes to get to 納希綠洲城. That means you have 10 minutes to catch them and get the book back. If you hurry, you can likely catch them near 紅砂沙漠.

H-how can you refuse to help NOW?! I just told you, if evil forces use that book, the world is DOOMED! That's DOOMED in all capitals, and that is BAD! Ohh, I can't bear to see 瑪迦提亞城's alchemy abused...

What happened? Are we still doomed?

No. Here is the book.

Oh...ohhh...that is SUCH a relief. You have no idea how close we were to worldwide disaster just now. Wow...I don't know who you are, but I could kiss you for returning that book.

I would not suggest trying that. Those magicians were servants of the Black Mage. Even if I return this book, they will surely come for it again. What is your plan?

卡森 and I don't usually see eye-to-eye, but we discussed this matter while you were retrieving the book. Despite our interests in preserving knowledge, we agree that we cannot keep the book away from the minions of the Black Mage forever. That being the case, I will destroy it, here and now.

Excellent. Better to remove the risk entirely.

Agreed. Though, I wonder...what was the true purpose of this so-called Dark Alchemy? Why did the ancient masters leave us such powerful, dangerous book? I suppose we'll never know now...

Because of you, the legacy of 瑪迦提亞城 was kept from the hands of evil. The people and associations of 瑪迦提亞城 will never forget your help!

What are you waiting for? GO! Head towards 納希綠洲城 and retrieve the 黃金煉金術書! If you hurry, youmight be able to catch them around 紅砂沙漠.
