The Monster's Identity

Do you remember the Valley of the Dragons, [Nombre]? That was the first time I met you, when you saved me from the dragons...

I remember...we were the only ones there... You really are Mastema, then.

Oh...I'm so glad my search is finally over. How have you been, [Nombre]?

(You describe the battle with the Black Mage, and how you recently woke from your long sleep.)

Wow. You did well to survive this long, then. I suppose you'll want to know what happened after you were...egged, yes?

Okay. Get comfortable...this might take awhile.

Relax, it's me! A little fuzzier, maybe, but you can still ask me anything!

Where should I start?

Ask about the Black Mage.

Ask about the other commanders.

Ask about the heroes.

Ask about Mastema.

Move on to something else.

Anyway, [Nombre], what's the plan now? I mean, you can always count on Mastema to serve you. In this form, I doubt I'm strong enough to fight alongside you, [Nombre], but I can help in other ways.

Yes, I don't think you'll be much help in battle. Go to Resistance Headquarters and offer what support you can.

W-what? No! I can't stay here...they'll surely chase me with brooms! Or spray me with water bottles!

Nonsense. I will simply explain that you are my pet. I think they will consider you cute enough to believe that.

Did... did you just call me...? Um, right, nevermind. A pet, huh? Better than nothing, I guess.

Okay, are you going to go now? I'll come with you.

(If you accept, you'll travel to Secret Plaza automatically.)

Right. Should we be off?

After receiving the letter, the heroes defeated the commanders, and faced the Black Mage directly. During the battle, they realized defeating him completely would be nearly impossible, so they sealed him away instead.

The commanders at the Temple of Time were defeated by the heroes, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're gone. As for the commanders who weren't at the Temple of Time, their whereabouts remain unknown. They're probably hidden away, plotting the Black Mage's return.

The heroes? After they sealed the Black Mage, they all kinda disappeared. Some people said they've returned, but people say lots of things.

Even as I am now, I kept looking for you, [Nombre]. I almost gave up and became a housecat a few times...but I never lost hope.
