A REG coupon picks your new hairstyle, face or hair color at random, and a VIP coupon lets you choose it. Both are used once. A Royal coupon also picks at random but lets you preview its styles in the Cash Shop, and a Choice coupon lets you pick one of ten styles from a list that changes over time.

The town in a coupon name is a label. The Kerning City, Orbis, Ludibrium, Night Market, Mu Lung and Ariant coupons carry the same text as the Henesys ones, including the REG and VIP split. The Choice coupons say to check the official MapleStory website for the current styles, and the item text does not list them.
Android hair and faces
Every coupon above also names the place for Androids. The text tells you to talk to Lauren at the Henesys Hair Salon to change your Android's hair or face.
Limits written on single coupons
Some coupons add a restriction of their own.
- The Angelic Royal Hair Coupon can only be used by female characters or female Androids.
- The Matinee Idol Hair Coupon and the Dual Blade Hair Coupon each give one fixed hairstyle, and the menu in the Hair Salon is only visible while you hold the coupon.
- The Murgoth Hair Coupon and the Nine-Tailed Fox Hair Coupon pick a random hairstyle and cannot be traded.
- The Trendy Royal Hair Coupon says its rewards change every so often and points to the Cash Item Announcements on the homepage.
Dye coupons and color mixing
Dye coupons mix two of the eight hair colors. The new mixed color stays when you get a new hairstyle, and the Hair Salon preview shows only your previous base color.
- The Mix Dye Coupon mixes one of 8 base colors with one of 8 mix colors.
- The Custom Mix Dye Coupon does the same in any ratio you want.
- The Half-and-Half Colorblend Hair Dye Coupon blends a base color and a different mixing color 50 to 50.
- The Mystery Mix Dye Coupon gives a color mixed from 2 random colors out of 8, and these coupons are used in the order they are stored in your Cash tab.
Vouchers turn into coupons, and each voucher has its own limits. The Custom Mix Dye Coupon Voucher hands out a coupon that can be used within 7 days and can be transferred between your characters within the same world. Another Custom Mix Dye Coupon Voucher describes its coupon as untradable for 7 days, and one Custom Mix Dye Coupon cannot be used on Androids. Read the tooltip of the exact item you hold.
Event coupons
Event coupons follow the same pattern. The Frieren Hair Coupon changes your hairstyle to Frieren Hair, and its sibling coupons cover the Ringlets and Sleep variants. The article Maple x Frieren content in the v.271 client lists them with the rest of the collaboration.
What the game's data does not hold
Coupon expiry dates for purchases and gifts, current Cash Shop stock and the current list inside a Choice coupon are delivered by the game servers and are not part of the game's own data. The coupon in your inventory shows its own duration.
