GMS v.250 opened Mayple Island for MapleStory's nineteenth anniversary on May 1, 2024. It also introduced Lynn, transferred existing Beast Tamers, made Zero creation permanent and revised Princess No/Hieizan. The rules, event windows and corrections below belong to that historical release.
Lynn: Focal Targets and the complete skill structure
Lynn was an INT Magician using Memorial Staff with Shield or Leaf secondary. Focus selected an ally as Focal Target and cycled targets on repeated use; when solo, Lynn was always her own target. Accompany toggled Spirit Guide visibility, Forest Kiss returned to Forest Spring, and Spirit Guide Blessing's Link Skill increased Boss Damage, Critical Rate and Max HP/MP. Hero's Echo had master level one and a two-hour cooldown.
| Tier | Skills and behavior |
|---|---|
| First | Strike through Pan; [Focus] Heal's periodic target healing; Light Steps double jump; Forest Power I; Spirit Guide Unity: Pan |
| Second | Stronger Strike; Sweep, a diagonal-capable movement attack with Penni; toggle Peck's automatic attacks, ignoring reflection; Light Leap with an upward-jump option; Forest Power II; Spirit Guide Unity: Penni; Forest Wind's DEX/INT |
| Third | Stronger Strike/Peck; Earth Pulverization's persistent reflection-ignoring fissure; [Focus] Support Flight moving Lynn to an ally or, with Down, the ally to Lynn, excluding self-target; toggle Sneak Attack through Paeon, ignoring reflection; Purify's periodic ally dispels; Nature's Providence; Forest Power III; Spirit Guide Unity: Paeon; Vitality Affinity status resistance |
| Fourth | Final ordinary Strike/Peck; Roar; Whirlwind backward movement/storm and temporary floating while held; Support Flight moving all party members to Lynn; Predator's Blow striking the strongest enemy and increasing its damage taken; Mother Nature's Touch immediate/continuous healing and harmful-effect removal; Forest Power IV; [Focus] Heal Boost, increasing target healing and Attack Power/Magic ATT; Nature's Providence Boost, unaffected by skill-level increases; Guardian's Signet; Commune |
| Tier | Skills and behavior |
|---|---|
| Fourth shared buffs | Maple Warrior, not stacking with Maple Warrior/Call of Cygnus/Nova Warrior/Hero of the Flora/President's Orders/Anima Warrior/Rhinne's Protection; Hero's Will, three seconds of most-status immunity with stated exceptions |
| Hyper passives | Strike - Reinforce, Strike - Critical Chance and Strike - Extra Strike; Peck - Reinforce, Peck - Guardbreak and Peck - Critical Chance; Sneak Attack - Reinforce, Sneak Attack - Extra Strike and Sneak Attack - Guardbreak |
| Hyper actives | Raid; Aura of Destiny; [Focus] Forest Protection, periodically giving the Focal Target damage reduction and fatal-damage negation |
| Fifth | Beast's Rage consecutive attacks ignoring reflection; Beak Strike enhancing Peck into stronger area attacks ignoring reflection; [Focus] Awaken, increasing Lynn's Final Damage and awakening her target; Nature's Grace, immediate party heal that temporarily turned all overhealing into shields equal to the excess HP restored; Ring of Samsara and Power of Destiny |
| Tier | Skills and behavior |
|---|---|
| Sixth | Source Flow awakening the guides; HEXA Strike through Pan; Beast's Rage Boost, Blade Strike Boost, [Focus] Awaken Boost and Nature's Grace Boost |
Strike and Peck versions overwrote their preceding versions; each listed advancement prerequisite required level twenty in the earlier version. Ring of Samsara used number keys to assign the effect later activated by Power of Destiny, with the selection resetting at 00:00 UTC. The sixth-job list called the Beak Strike enhancement Blade Strike Boost; the differing labels did not describe a separate extra fifth-job attack.
Beast Tamer transfer and Great Tree Memories
All Beast Tamers became Lynn Beginners during May 1 maintenance. Login moved them to Spring of the Past, where Maple Admin offered [Lynn] Call of the Forest. Stats, level/EXP, Arcane/Sacred Symbol enhancement stats, Abilities, quest history, equipped gear and inventory carried over. Gear incompatible with the new job was marked red. Existing fifth-job characters could use a simplified advancement.
| Disassembled Node | Shards per fifty EXP |
|---|---|
| Skill Node | 140 |
| Boost Node | 70 |
| Special Node | 250 |
True Arachnid Reflection and Solar Crest were exempt from disassembly. Remaining Beast Tamer Animal SP Reset Scrolls refunded one thousand Maple Points each in Interactive or ten million mesos each in Heroic; Gift Drop claims ended August 28, 2024 at 11:00 UTC. Beast Tamer Transparent Ears became Transparent Hat, and Beast Tamer Transparent Tail became Transparent Cape. [Lynn] Call of the Forest awarded permanent untradable Drawing of Memories, Cute Ear Accessory and Cute Tail Accessory.

Great Tree Memories ran May 1 after maintenance–June 11 at 23:59 UTC. Entry required level 101+, Zero Chapter 2 and a level 200+ Lynn in the same world. [Great Tree Memories] Cherish Precious Memories! enabled a daily two-thousand-monster task within twenty levels, one account check-in daily and twenty total.

Zero creation and Princess No/Hieizan changes
From May 1 after maintenance, Zero creation no longer depended on seasonal events. It required an existing level 100 character in the same world.
Hieizan reduced Contaminated Goblin Detritus needed for Bitter Resurrection Herb and increased quest EXP. After [Princess No] The End of Princess No, Princess Sakuno in Master Room offered [Princess No] The Five Star's Message for the class's Will of the 5 Planets skill. The May 3 clarification required logging into the character that had already completed Hieizan at least once before alternate characters could bypass it. Story quests grouped under Hieizan.
The boss dungeon standardized exit portals and removed the extra upper Princess No portal. Potions gained a five-second cooldown, revival became automatic after thirty seconds and minions changed level 150→160. Attack patterns gained appropriate cooldowns and changed formerly ordinary-damage attacks. Class-type monsters took more damage from other class types and less from the player's own type. Princess No and Miroku accepted binds and Origin skills.
| Encounter | Pattern changes |
|---|---|
| Mikagami | Fewer hits to defeat; forced teleports occurred when being attacked by Mikagami instead of attacking it |
| Oura Shogun | Stab/lightning knockback removed; spear spin continuously applied super knockback and made the boss immune while casting; lightning could be avoided by lying down; Lightning Seal Orbs had less HP and stopped moving |
| Miroku | Summon patterns worked; touch damage removed |
| Princess No | Summon/phase structure revised; later phases allowed jump attacks with easier dodging; attacks gained cooldowns and percentage-HP damage; Spirit Walker rituals used warned area attacks; poison, Seduction and teleport patterns removed; reflect used less often |
| Princess No and Miroku | More time to interrupt channels; shorter debuffs and shorter cage-escape time; teleport and summoning cooldowns applied |
Mayple Island and the thirty-six Wish Orb check-ins
Mayple Island celebrated GMS's nineteenth anniversary from May 1 after maintenance through June 11 at 23:59 UTC. Level 101 characters, including Zero after Chapter 2, entered through [Mayple Island] The World Beyond Dreams. Finishing it moved the character to the island and opened its related events.
[Mayple Wish Orb] Shiny Memories, through Ameryl Pots or the notifier, granted the Beginner-tab Mayple Crystal skill. Its account-shared attendance allowed one check-in daily and thirty-six altogether. Any one of three daily objectives qualified: reach 300 Mayple Leaves from monsters within ±20 levels, reach 500 Mayple Candy from minigames, or participate once in Mayple Adventure through Mayprisha.
Check-ins 1–30 awarded ten Crystal Points each, 31–35 awarded twenty each, and 36 awarded fifty. Points were earned per account and usable per world. Investing them in Mayple Crystal could not be reset. Each attribute could be upgraded six times: Attack Power/Magic ATT, Boss Damage, Ignore Defense, All Stats, Max HP/MP, Buff Duration, Critical Rate, Normal Enemy Damage, Arcane Power and bonus EXP from normal monsters. Mayple Pass recovered an earlier missed check-in for 3,000 Maple Points, up to the number incomplete at the previous 00:00 UTC.
All ordinary attendance rewards below were transferable within the account for seven days. The table groups repeated rewards without skipping any check-in.

The day-36 outfit supplied permanent untradable Mayple Cane, Mayple Shoes, Mayple Cape, Mayple Dress (F), Mayple Suit (M) and Mayple Hairpin. Completing the event also gave the permanent untradable Mayple Island medal, registered in Medal Collection: STR/DEX/INT/LUK +20, Attack Power/Magic ATT +7 and HP/MP +1,000.

The Arcane selectors offered permanent untradable Arcane Symbol: Vanishing Journey, Arcane Symbol: Chu Chu Island, Arcane Symbol: Lachelein, Arcane Symbol: Arcana, Arcane Symbol: Morass or Arcane Symbol: Esfera. Sacred selectors offered permanent untradable Sacred Symbol: Cernium, Sacred Symbol: Arcus, Sacred Symbol: Odium, Sacred Symbol: Shangri-La, Sacred Symbol: Arteria or Sacred Symbol: Carcion. The intermediate selector coupons retained seven-day account transferability.
This release's Extreme Growth Potion description started at level 141, giving up to ten levels at 141–199 with lower multi-level odds as level rose, or EXP at 200+. Burning characters could not use it. Magnificent Growth Potion required level 200, gave a level at 200–249 or EXP at 250+, and also excluded Burning. Growth Potion Selector offered eight Growth Potions (200–209), four Growth Potions (200–219), two Growth Potions (200–229), or one Typhoon Growth Potion. All required level 200; their one-level ranges ended at 209, 219, 229 or 239 respectively, followed by EXP at 210+, 220+, 230+ or 240+. The selections were account transferable for seven days.
Mayple Fiesta and its later UP! version
Mayple Fiesta ran May 1 after maintenance–May 21 at 23:59 UTC; Mayple Fiesta UP! followed May 22 at 00:00–June 11 at 23:59 UTC. Both required level 101, Zero Chapter 2 and Shiny Memories, with Mariela or the notifier supplying [Mayple Fiesta] Mayple Fiesta or [Mayple Fiesta] Mayple Fiesta UP! respectively. The Beginner-tab skill activated on maps with monsters within ±20 levels and could be toggled by right-clicking its skill icon.
Every twenty qualifying kills awarded two Mayple Leaves and one gauge space. Ten spaces awarded thirty more leaves, EXP and a random event attack. Each character could gain 300 leaves and activate the skill twenty times daily. After reaching 300 leaves, remaining activations still gave EXP. Hovering the gauge or buff icon showed remaining activations. Partial gauge progress survived dates and map departures, but changing map/channel or entering Cash Shop interrupted an active attack.
Both versions respected EXP bonuses and death-penalty reductions. Kills made by the event attacks filled the next gauge. Rune of Might or Advanced Giant Potion could hide some visuals without removing their effects. The skills were unavailable without nearby-level monsters, on special/story/Mirror World maps, after death during activation, after twenty daily activations, under a stage 4 Rune curse or while another player's corresponding skill was active on the map.
| May 1–21 variant | Attack |
|---|---|
| Fiesta: Big Bang Attack | Fifteen targets, 1,500% ×5 |
| Fiesta: Pixel Warrior | Pipi: seven targets, 1,000% ×2; Roid: eight targets, 400% ×5; Harrier: nine targets, 500% ×4 |
| Fiesta: Special Therapy | Fifteen targets, 1,000% ×5, five activations |
| Fiesta: Floral Blessing | Hana: ten targets, 1,000% ×5; Duna: fifteen targets, 1,200% ×5; Sena: five randomly placed flowers, each attacking six targets at 1,000% ×5 |
| Fiesta: Playtime | Fifteen targets, 1,000% ×5, three activations |
| May 22–June 11 variant | Attack |
|---|---|
| Fiesta UP!: UFO Raid | Fifteen targets, 1,200% ×5, four activations |
| Fiesta UP!: Monster Busters | Fifteen targets, 1,500% ×5, three activations |
| Fiesta UP!: 7-Star Catered Buffet | Fifteen targets, 1,000% ×5, five activations |
| Fiesta UP!: Click Click Momentree | Rith and Ellie attacked fifteen targets at 1,000% ×5 |
After an UP! attack finished, Monsters in the Memories appeared for additional EXP. Any still alive after sixty seconds disappeared.
Dungeon Blast and Frozen Blast
Mayprisha's [Mayple Adventure] Start the Adventure opened Dungeon Blast from May 1 after maintenance through May 21 at 23:59 UTC. [Mayple Adventure] Start A New Adventure opened Frozen Blast from May 22 at 00:00 through June 11 at 23:59 UTC. Both required Shiny Memories, level 101 and Zero Chapter 2. Quick Start matched four players; Party Play accepted a party of up to four.
Players chose Warrior, Magician, Bowman or Thief, with a random remaining job assigned after thirty seconds without a choice. Each had exclusive looks and skills, configurable hotkeys and changing outfits as its event level rose; hair, face and skin stayed intact. Five portal-connected dungeons formed a thirty-minute adventure. Dungeon Blast ended at Abyssal Balrog, Frozen Blast at Possessed Zakum; Frozen Blast randomized the intermediate dungeons while keeping its starting and boss maps fixed. The upper-left UI located party members and each dungeon's representative monster.
Event levels capped at twenty and unlocked skills at five and ten. Every party member received the same kill EXP, even from another dungeon. Higher event levels lengthened death respawn time. Clearing paid 500 EXP Points once per account daily, reset at 00:00 UTC, and points arrived when leaving End of Adventure. Leaving that exit map after the relevant mode's final 23:59 UTC paid nothing. Replays after the daily allowance gave no more points.
The [Mayple Island] Use EXP Points action or Mayprisha converted points to EXP until June 11 at 23:59 UTC. Redemption required level 200, Zero Act 2 and completion of Start the Adventure; the Frozen Blast redemption description retained that original quest name. Characters 260+ received the same EXP as level 260. Canceling an accepted queue disabled Quick Start account-wide for ten minutes; the first mid-game leaver or inactive player automatically failed and incurred ten minutes of account-wide entry restriction. A cancellation during the accepted waiting stage canceled the queue and rematched the others.
Ten Dungeon Blast clears awarded permanent untradable Dungeon Blaster, Attack Power +3. Frozen Blast awarded Frozen Blast Novice after five clears and Frozen Blast Veteran after ten; each was permanent, untradable and Attack Power +3. All three medals registered in Medal Collection.

Mayple Memoria albums and equipment exchanges
Mayple Memoria ran May 1 after maintenance–June 11 at 23:59 UTC for Shiny Memories participants level 101+/Zero Chapter 2. [Mayple Memoria] Let's Fill the Memoria Together opened twelve world-shared albums through Leona or the notifier. Nearby-level monsters dropped Mayple Memoria Boxes; opening one discovered an anniversary equipment piece not yet found. Leona Chance could target an undiscovered piece five times per world daily.
Discovering an album's full equipment collection unlocked its completion reward. Once completed, the same album's additional rewards cost 500 Mayple Leaves each, without a repeat-purchase limit. Discovered anniversary equipment cost fifty leaves per piece and entered Equipment Inventory. The selections retained the original anniversary jobs; jobs introduced later did not gain exclusive equipment in older albums, and some pieces remained restricted to particular jobs. Neither exchanged equipment nor spent leaves could be restored. The final Memoria reward was once per world during the event.
The ordinary reward coupons below transferred within the account for seven days. Their equipment and mount results were permanent and untradable, unless a different rule is shown.

Mayple Express and the rotating candy games
Mayple Express ran May 29 at 00:00–June 11 at 23:59 UTC. Level 101+/Zero Chapter 2 characters opened [Mayple Express] Prepared Gift through Ameryl Pots or the notifier after the introductory island quest. Its prerequisite text called that quest [Mayple Wish Orb] The World Beyond Dreams. Reaching the daily Mayple Leaf allowance qualified for Mayple Leaf Coupon ×500; reaching the daily Mayple Candy allowance qualified for Mayple Candy Coupon ×500; one Frozen Blast clear qualified for EXP Voucher ×500. The Claim Reward button was daily, reset at 00:00 UTC. These were additional rewards for the stated activities, not a new independent hunting allowance.
Flana's [Mayple Challengers] Start of the Challenge opened three rotating candy games for Shiny Memories participants level 101+/Zero Chapter 2. Each allowed 500 Mayple Candy per character daily, with further games playable for no additional candy. Leaving mid-game prevented all characters in the world from entering that game for fifteen minutes. Records used the score on exit and rewards had to be claimed before the game's closing 23:59 UTC. All three listed first/second/third rewards as 300/200/100 candy.
| Game and dates, UTC | Controls and scoring |
|---|---|
| Infinity Race, May 1 after maintenance–May 14 | Entry cleared buffs. Three lanes used the configured Jump key and Down to collect Mayple Gold Coins/Gold Richie Silver Coins and avoid rocks. Coin and rock layouts stayed the same each game. A rock deducted score, stunned for one second and prevented coin collection. Speed increased; the final stretch had no rocks and 1.5× points. Higher score won; the tie description referred to finish order and listed more gold coins, more silver coins, fewer rocks and earlier attainment of the score as ordering criteria. |
| Club V Dance Party, May 15 at 00:00–May 28 | Entry cleared buffs and matched three other players. Interact/Harvest stopped arrows; landing position determined points and consecutive successful scoring changed the dance. Difficulty rose. Full-screen Fever and smaller pink/blue regions allowed 2× points. Higher score won; its tie description referred to finish order and listed pink/yellow/blue matches and earlier attainment of the score. The published reward list specified places one through three. |
| Momentree Kitchen, May 29 at 00:00–June 11 | Enter displayed arrow sequences for points; correct inputs built combos and threshold bonuses. A mistake stunned for one second and reset the combo. Hold Interact/Harvest when Kenly turned around and the red warning appeared: remaining exposed kept deducting points throughout his warning. The final cooking phase paid 2× points. Higher score won; its tie description referred to finish order and listed higher combo, fewer wrong inputs and less time caught by Kenly. |
Mascot surveys, a new companion and Mayple's dream
[Maple Hero Quest] Maple-rific Survey! through Mayple Terry or the notifier opened two historical in-game votes for level 101+/Zero Chapter 2. The first ran May 1 after maintenance–May 21 at 23:59 UTC and chose Orange Mushroom, Pink Bean, Slime or Yeti. The second ran May 15 at 00:00–June 4 at 23:59 UTC and chose In the Beginning, There Was a Mushroom, Star Squad 13, Maple 14th Street Fair, Pixel Party, Hotel Maple, Blooming Forest or Momentree. Maple Tree Electronic Displays in major towns and the island showed that world's rankings and percentages, recounted hourly.

Mayple Pet Set Coupon transferred within the account for ten days and supplied an untradable ninety-day Mayple pet, revivable with Water of Life, and permanent untradable Mayple's Glitter. Mayple's Heartwarming Dream ran May 22 at 00:00–June 4 at 23:59 UTC for level 101+/Zero Chapter 2. Ameryl Pots supplied hints after [Maple Hero Quest] Mayple's Heartwarming Dream. Monday–Saturday each had a distinct mission, completable once on its assigned day; Sunday let the player choose one unfinished weekday mission. After all weekday missions, the final mission became available the next day. An unfinished mission reset when the date changed. The hidden mission was once per account.
Every regular mission paid Mayple Leaf Coupon ×300, Mayple Candy Coupon ×300 and EXP Voucher ×300, all account transferable for fourteen days. These vouchers granted EXP immediately when consumed, rather than storing it in an EXP cache. The weekday extras below transferred within the account for seven days.

Mayple Stars: boss claims and the Star Shop
Pink Bean Statue sold the Star Shop inventory May 1 after maintenance–June 16 at 23:59 UTC to level 101+/Zero Chapter 2 Shiny Memories participants. Weekly bosses awarded up to 1,600 Mayple Stars per world, shared between its characters; daily and monthly bosses did not qualify. Boss records and weekly shop stock reset Thursday at 00:00 UTC. Unclaimed stars had to be collected through the statue or notifier before that reset.
Party clears qualified, but a character that left while its party finished could not re-enter that boss for the week. Being dead at the kill or leaving before the defeat prevented stars. Reward-box hits were required for Chaos Crimson Queen/Pierre, Lotus, Damien, Guardian Angel Slime, Lucid, Will, Gloom, Darknell, Verus Hilla, Princess No, Akechi Mitsuhide, Chosen Seren, Kalos the Guardian and Kaling. The box instruction called Guardian Angel Slime's higher mode Hard, while the reward table called it Chaos; the table's Chaos tier is retained below.

Combat, quest and interface repairs
The release repaired several failures that interrupted play: Abyssal Recall's missing final attack; lag preventing Chain Arts: Thrash links from applying bonus Final Damage to the intended skill; Speed Mirage failing because of Silhouette Mirage's attack dummy after its sixth enhancement; Mystic Door/Decent Mystic Door disconnects in Cache of Greed; and Zero disconnecting on leaving a reward room after unequipping Continuous Ring. Item Tags on totems no longer disconnected the character. Seventh and Eighth Choice no longer crashed, and closing the client during [6th Job] A New Power no longer prevented completion. Specific Skills/Stats UI hotkeys could again be bound.
Princess No fixes aligned an attack-pattern warning with her nameplate, prevented escape from the map by double-jumping with Up while frozen, and stopped damage preceding the yellow-butterfly animation. Normal Pink Bean statue NPCs could no longer be repeatedly defeated for EXP. Normal Ranmaru's attack cooldown inconsistency relative to Hard was fixed. Cadena characters without completed stories could again gain levels from Extreme Growth Potions. Shadowdealers daily quests refreshed before entry after the date changed, completed Guild Castle blueprint materials stopped dropping, and previously excluded jobs could accept Drake Attack 1.
The remaining repairs covered these concrete presentation and progression problems.
